Chris Cornell 's widow is speaking out one day after his death. Early Thursday morning, the 52-year-old  Soundgarden  singer was  found unresponsive  with a band around his neck inside his bathroom at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit. The grunge rocker was pronounced dead on the scene. Later that afternoon, after an initial autopsy had been completed, the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office announced his  cause of death  "has been determined as suicide by hanging. A full autopsy report has not yet been completed." Kirk Pasich , an attorney for the Cornell family, said Friday they are disturbed by implications that Chris knowingly and intentionally took his life. "Without the results of toxicology tests, we do not know what was going on with Chris—or if any substances contributed to his demise. Nigerian Lawyer, Zannah Mustapha Reveals How He Negotiated Chibok Girls' Release

Nigerian Federal Government recently secured, through a swap deal, the release of 82 of the abducted school girls kidnapped in Chibok, a community in Borno state by Boko Haram. 57-year-old Lawyer from Borno state, Zannah Mustapha brokered the deal to the release the girls. A special profile-report of Mustapha by BBC says that when he arrived for the handover of the-now-freed 82 Chibok girls from Boko Haram, after three years in captivity, a militant read out the girls' names from a list.   One by one, the abducted schoolgirls, now women, lined up along the outskirts of a forest near Kumshe town, on the border between Nigeria and Cameroon. Each of them was covered from head to ankle in a dark-coloured hijab. Mustapha said: "I went ahead of the Red Cross. They [the militants] brought the girls to me,". Acting President Osinbajo Signs Executive Orders To Speed Up Budget Submission, Promote Locally-made Goods, Boost Business

Acting President, Mr. Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday, signed three executive orders with the potential to significantly change some of the ways government business and operations are conducted in the country.  This was contained in a statement by Mr. Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the acting President. The statement disclosed that ahead of the signing, an interactive session held at the old Banquet Hall of Presidential Villa. In attendance were all relevant government officials, including ministers, permanent secretaries and heads of departments and agencies. Three bombers male suicide bombers are dead and three security men injured when suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers attacked University of Maiduguri yesterday, an official has told Saharareporters. In an electronic message issued by Borno police public relation officer, DSP Victor Isuku to newsmen in Maiduguri on Friday confirmed that three university security guards were injured in a bid to stop the suicide bombers. Roger Ailes, the former chairman and CEO of Fox News, died at age 77 on Thursday morning. The network he helped found in 1996 cited a statement released by his family confirming the late media mogul's death. The statement reads in part: "I am profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning. Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many. Nigerian Military School Nurse Administers Wrong Medicine On Student

A 13-year-old student of the Command Secondary School in Suleja, near Abuja, narrowly escaped death after being treated with the wrong medication by a nurse at the school clinic. SaharaReporters learned that the incident occurred on April 30 when the student sought medical treatment for having a high body temperature. After the drugs were administered to the student, he began to develop rashes all over his body. He also noticed that his lips were swollen and his eyes were red. The situation worsened when the nurse abandoned him at the school’s clinic for three days without making an effort to ameliorate his condition. The young student was then sent to Kubwa General Hospital in Abuja to recuperate from the near-fatal experience. SaharaReporters gathered that school authorities called the student’s parents to inform them of the development, but by the time his parents arrived at the school, his condition had worsened to the point that he needed to be rushed to the hospital.

Few weeks after the death of two prominent Yoruba actors, Olumide Bakare and Pastor Ajidara, another popular Yoruba Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya has died of cardiac arrest in Canada. Moji, daughter of Nigeria's high life music legend, Victor Olaiya, was confirmed dead barely two months after welcoming her second child in Canada, just a few months after she officially divorced her first husband to remarry another one. A close family source claimed the 42-year-old actress might be buried in Canada as her aged mother lives in Nigeria and its a taboo in Yoruba land to see the corpse of one’s child. Moji’s first marriage crashed in 2008, and the Yoruba actress decided to remarry last year at a quiet ceremony in Nigeria. She became more popular with Wale Adenuga's production Super Story in the 90's. Before her death, she featured in several Nollywood movies of Yoruba and English genres.
