Villagers Threatened, Forced To Donate Cows To Mugabe

Some villagers  in Zimbabwe have been forced to donate cattle towards President Robert Mugabe s AU pledge. The ruling party collected 145 cat tle as part of its efforts to meet the target of 300 beasts the letharg y leader pledged to the continental body.  Although Zanu PF p rovincial  chairman for Midlands, Daniel McKenzie boasted during a provincial coordinating committee last Thursday, the party had collected 145 ca ttle, it was gathered that villagers were forced to surrender th eir livestock to the president. The province also raised $1840 towards the same programme. ''Some 145 beasts have been collected from five districts. In addition, we also received 1840 from party supporters. Mugabe had initially asked all the provinces to contribute 100 cattle and I am happy we managed to surpass the target,'' said McKenzie. Nigerian Pastor, Tim Omotosho Denied Bail By South African Court

A Pastor Tim Omotosho, a Nigerian,who was arraigned for alleged sexually abusing 30 female members of his congregation, has been denied bail by a South African Magistrate Court has denied a The 58-year-old Nigerian miracle worker, Pastor Tim Omotosho, the senior pastor of the Jesus Dominion International, was arrested in South Africa. The pastor based in Durban, who was arrested inside the toilet at the Port Elizabeth Airport shortly after his flight landed, was arraigned in court on Friday and was denied bail. His case was postponed to May 3.
