Fast and Furious at 2017 mtv movies and videos award

After 16 years, eight films, and countless ground-shaking explosions,  Fast & Furious  is continuing its hot streak by making history at the  2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards . Fast & Furious  will be honored with the coveted Generation Award at this year’s festivities, marking the first time a film franchise will receive the accolade. In the past, the award has gone to individual actors for their outstanding achievement in film. Past recipients include Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr., and Sandra Bullock. Vin Diesel  will accept the award on behalf of his  F&F  family, and he’ll be joined by franchise costars  Michelle Rodriguez ,  Tyrese Gibson , and Jordana Brewster . To drive up (pun intended) the excitement even more,  Camila Cabello , Pitbull , and  J Balvin  will be on hand to perform their fiery hit " Hey Ma " from The Fate of the Furious . MTN Sacks 15% of Its Entire Nigerian Workforce

South African telecoms firm, MTN, on Friday sacked 280 of its employees in Nigeria, in a major job cut that affected about 15% of the company’s entire Nigerian workforce, Premium Times reports. Those affected by the move include some 200 permanent employees and about 80 contract staff across various cadres, ranging from new graduates to senior managers, multiple sources told Premium Times. Many of those sacked spent up to 15 years with the company having joined MTN as it opened its business in Nigeria in 2001.   Premium Times sources said affected workers were given a dismal severance of 75% of their gross monthly income multiplied by the number of years with the company. “Given that the company is about 16 years old in Nigeria, the severance package brought pain and discontent among the affected staff,” one source said. “With the payoff structure, senior managers with 15 years of service were left with about N15 million. JAMB: 1.5 Million Candidates Register For 2017 UTME

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said it had so far registered 1.5 million candidates for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across the country. This disclosure was made by the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, in an interview with pressmen on Saturday at side line of activities marking the pre-JAMB mock examinations. Oloyede said, “So far, it has even been better than our expectation, it was a mock, the intention was to test the technology and it proved to be perfect. “I think from what we are seeing, we are more than ready for the main examination. “At least 90 percent of the examination centres have reported positively, there has been proper downloading and preparation; even after the exam, we had uploaded responses of 80 per cent. “We have done it to show that what works elsewhere across the world should work in Nigeria; we believe we can do it efficiently; we will continue to do our best. “We have registered ove

BY    HENRIK EDBERG Can you improve your conversation skills? Certainly. It might take a while to change the conversation habits that’s been ingrained throughout your life, but it is very possible. To not make this article longer than necessary let’s just skip right to some common mistakes many of us have made in conversations and a couple of solutions.  Not listening Ernest Hemingway once said: “I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen.” Don’t be like most people. Don’t just wait eagerly for your turn to talk. Put your own ego on hold. Learn to really listen to what people actually are saying. When you start to really listen, you’ll pick up on loads of potential paths in the conversation.
