What Osama Bin Laden Told Me About America Before He Was Killed – Wife

Amal bin laden, fourth wife of al-Qaeda terrorist, and mastermind of 9/11 attack, Osama Bin Laden, has recounted, for the first time, how it felt to watch her husband die in a gruelling US military gunfire.

Osama Bin Laden died at the hands of SEAL special forces on May 11, 2011in their 'safe house' in the mountains of Abbottabad in Pakistan

Amal bin Laden told the story of the night to Cathy Scott-Clarke and Adrian Levy for their book, The Exile: The Flight of Osama bin Laden, which has been excerpted in the Sunday Times UK.

By 11pm on May 1, 2011, after dinner, the dishes, and prayer, bin Laden was fast asleep while his fourth wife lie next to him.

Outside, the streets were dark due to an electricity shortage, something that was a common occurrence in the area, but Amal awoke uneasily just past midnight.

She heard a chop chop chop sound and thought she saw shadows dancing on the windows. Bin Laden sat up, looking frightened.

'Americans are coming,' he said, panting. Then there was a loud screeching noise and the house rocked.

Nigerians Lose Job As Ecobank Shuts Down 74 Branches

Ecobank Nigeria has shut down about 74 of its 479 branches. The bank says it will deploy staff from the merged branches to other projects but failed to touch on reports that the bank had terminated the appointment of about 50 top personnel staff.  A statement by the bank reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation, which would enable customers carry out banking activities online, thereby reducing the need to visit physical locations. Charles Kie, the managing director, said the bank hopes to shift its activities to digital channels and improve customers’ experience at reduced cost. This, he said, also supports the bank’s financial inclusion strategy and the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.   Kie said the bank has enhanced its retail internet banking platform with the Ecobank mobile app that enables customers to do instant payments; open accounts, as well as do instant transfers across 33 countries in Africa. “After a detailed analysis of the physical net...
