Police: Lamido To Be Charged To Court For Alleged Breach Of Public Peace

Kano State Police spokesman Sambo Muhammed confirmed on Sunday that former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido would be charged to court for inciting a breach of public peace.
Mr. Lamido was arrested after the Jigawa State government complained that he incited his supporters to disrupt the upcoming local council elections in the state.
“Today, His Excellency, the former governor of Jigawa State, honored the police invitation sent to him to come and explain to the police his response to the allegation leveled against him by the Jigawa State government,” the police publicist told reporters on Sunday.
“It is a statement of fact that inciting public disturbance is a criminal offense contrary to section 114 of the Penal Code of Nigeria. His Excellency is currently under investigation and in police custody while the result of the investigation will be made public.
“The case will be charged upon the completion of the investigation,” he said.

The former Gabon and Burkina Faso coach, has however stated that the door is not closed on the best players in the NPFL.

Comedian Basketmouth robbed in his Lekki home

Basketmouth Famous Nigerian stand-up comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth and his family were in the early hours of this morning robbed at their Lekki home at gunpoint. His close friend and colleague, comedian Bovi took to his Instagram page to say that Basketmouth and family are safe and unhurt after the robber’s invasion.
