Drop Suggestions You Think Can Aid The Smooth Conduct Of 2017 JAMB Exam

Aside the grand finale of big brother naija, the next thing that trended over the weekend was JAMB.

First, it was the impromptu postponement of the mock examination which was supposed to hold last Saturday April 8th, 2017.

Just few hours after that, JAMB announced the extension of the 2017 UTME registration deadline as well as the postponement of the JAMB examination.

It will be recalled that JAMB was earlier adamant concerning the extension of the registration deadline even after the House of Representative gave a directive on that.

Obviously, JAMB never expected what was coming and was not adequately prepared for it.

It is good to know that JAMB was able to make provision for the mock examination which I believe now was more of testing its preparedness for the examination than giving candidates a feel of what JAMB CBT is all about.

Just imagine if what happened on Saturday happened during the actual JAMB exam. That ain't gonna be funny you know.

However, the JAMB boss have disclosed that what happened on Saturday has helped JAMB to discover some technical hitches that needs to be corrected and he is hopeful that the board will be better positioned to conduct a proper examination after what happened.

We just hope and pray that all issues, be it technical or other wise are resolved before the actual UTME.

So over to you Myschoolers, what are the areas you think JAMB should critically look into to forestall anything that will hamper the smooth conduct of the 2017 UTME.

Nigerians Lose Job As Ecobank Shuts Down 74 Branches

Ecobank Nigeria has shut down about 74 of its 479 branches. The bank says it will deploy staff from the merged branches to other projects but failed to touch on reports that the bank had terminated the appointment of about 50 top personnel staff.  A statement by the bank reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation, which would enable customers carry out banking activities online, thereby reducing the need to visit physical locations. Charles Kie, the managing director, said the bank hopes to shift its activities to digital channels and improve customers’ experience at reduced cost. This, he said, also supports the bank’s financial inclusion strategy and the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.   Kie said the bank has enhanced its retail internet banking platform with the Ecobank mobile app that enables customers to do instant payments; open accounts, as well as do instant transfers across 33 countries in Africa. “After a detailed analysis of the physical network of b
